Alexander, 85, 133 Wilson Avenue, Harmar Township, Cheswick, died Friday, March 6, 1981, in Citizens General Hospital, New Kensington, after a lengthy illness. He was born March 23, 1895 in Salisbury, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Alexander. Mr Alexander lived in the area for the past 40 years. He was a retired coal miner employed at Harmarville Mine, member of United Mine Workers Assn. Local No. 4426. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Catherine McBride of Philadelphia and one sister, Mrs. Belle Tenney, Washington, Pa., and several grandchildren. Services were held Monday, March 9 in the Edward E. Kuznicki Funeral Home, Cheswick, Pa. Entombment in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, Pa. The Republic March 12, 1981 [A0200]
