Allison, 59, Harrisburg, died December 25, 1982, in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. D. Elinor Allison; a son, Andrew W. at home; five daughters: Laurene Gunther and Rebecca Allison, both of Philadelphia; Johanna Gales, of Norfolk, Virginia; Gretchen Allison and Linnea Allison, both at home; his mother, Carrie A. Allison, of Bartow, Florida and a grandchild. He served the Addison Confluence Lutheran Parish in Somerset County from March 1974 to August 1979. He was a graduate of Gettysburg College and Lutheran Theological Seminary and had completed his graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He was a veteran of World War II where he was in the 101st Airborne Division and the Korean Conflict where he served as a chaplain. He taught medieval history at Mount Airy Seminary and was chaplain at the Kislyn Industrial School for Boys. The Republic January 20, 1983 [A0168]
