  C W ALTFATHER

  C. W. (Bill) Altfather Sr., 80, of Berlin died Jan. 23, 1979, at his
  residence.  He was born June 20, 1898, in Berlin, a son of Daniel Nevin and
  Mary (Ream) Altfather.  He was preceded in death by his parents; on
  daughter, Betty Lou, who died in 1975; and two brothers.  He is survived by
  his wife, the former Mary Krause; and these children: C.W. Altfather Jr.,
  of Somerset; Mrs. William E. (Mary) Landis and Mrs. Alvin R. (Jean)
  Lambert, both of Berlin; Mrs. Robert (Dottie) Deeter and Mrs. Chester
  (Sandie) Termin, both of Toledo, Ohio, eight grandchildren; and two
  great-grandchildren.  He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ of
  Berlin and he formerly operated his own trucking company.  Friends were
  received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were
  held Friday with the Rev. Charles W. Sigler officiating.  Interment, Berlin
  IOOF Cemetery.
