Alwine, 63, 211 Pine St., Davidsville, died April 20 at Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born July 20, 1912, in Meyersdale, daughter of Harry and Sarah (Smith) Thompson. She was preceded in death by parents and a brother and a sister. Surviving are her husband, Walter M.; two sons, W. Ronald married to former Gail Kleppenger, Glendale, Md., and Wayne R., married to former Eileen Groman, Johnstown RD 5 and daughter, Mrs. Mary Secary, Gaithersburg, Md.; also a granddaughter and a grandson. She is the sister of Ralph V., Youngstown, Ohio. She retired from Penn Traffic Co. She was a member of Moxham Colonial Church of the Brethren and Chapter 183, Order of Eastern Star, of which she was past matron. A service was held at the Pieking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary April 22 with Rev. Noah S. Martin officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. Meyersdale Republic April 29, 1976 [A0193]
