  ALWINE
  
  Larry D. Alwine, 46, of Jenners died July 12, 2002 at Conemaugh Medical
  Center.  Born Dec. 29, 1955 in Johnstown.  Son of Paul and Charlotte
  (Foreman) Alwine.  Preceded in death by parents step father Ronald Wiedwald.
  Survived by wife the former Gale Shreffler whom he would have been married
  to 23 years on Aug. 4, and these children: Crystal and fiance Ryan George,
  Harrisburg; Angela and Chad both at home.  Brother of Gary Alwine,
  Johnstown; and Sherry married to Rodney Hillman, Geistown.  Also survived by
  mother and father-in-law George and Wanda Shreffler and sister-in-law Connie
  Mervinc, Nancy Wojnarowski, Norma Shoultz, Verna Marie Harding and Glenda
  Shreffler; several nieces and nephews.  He ws employed by Emglo.  He was a
  baseball coach for numerous years.  An active union member of Steelworkers
  Union Local 2635.  A 1973 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School.  A
  member of Jerome Sportsman and Quemahoning Rod and Gun Club.  He was an avid
  hunter and fisherman.  Family will receive friends from 2-9 pm Sunday at the
  George E Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville where funeral service will be
  held at 11 am Monday.  Rev. Earl Crissman officiating.  Interment, Kaufman
  Cemetery.  Those who wish, please make donations to the Chad Alwine
  Scholarship Fund.
