AMBILL Funeral services for William F. Ambill, 38, an accountant for the Carnegie- Illinois Steel Corporation, Pittsburgh, who died suddenly from a heart attack, Wednesday, Nov. 10, at his home, Irwin, Pa., was held at the home of Frank L. Waugaman, Irwin, Sunday afternoon, Nov. 14. Services were in charge of the Rev. George Shults of the Irwin Reformed Church, assisted by the Rev. E. Roy Corman of Trinity Reformed Church, Wilkinsburg, Pa. Interment was made in the Denmark Manor Cemetery nearby. Mr. Ambill, son of the late Harry and Lillie (Kurtz) Ambill, was born in Pittsburgh, June 7, 1910. He spent most of his life there until four years ago when he married Miss Sara Waugaman and moved to Irwin. He spent several years in Grantsville when a boy and had many friends here, as he often spent his vacations in Grantsville, and visited friends there every year if only for a short time. He was a member of the Reformed Church, Irwin, and the Irwin Lions Club. Mr. Ambill had worked as usual that day and, after retiring, was taken ill, the second attack in two years. He is survived by his wife and one brother, H. Paul Ambill of Penn Township, Pa. Friends from Grantsville who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Durst, Misses Ethel and Viola Broadwater and O. J. Glotfelty. Meyersdale Republican, November 25, 1948
