Anderson, veteran of World War I, died on Tuesday, January 9th, at 6:40 a.m. in the Veterans' Hospital at Coatesville, Pa., of an epileptic convulsion. Mr. Anderson had been in the hospital at Coatesville for more than five years, and had been in several other veterans' hospitals at various times prior to his removal to Coatesville. He served from Nov., 1917, to May 25, 1918, as a private in Co. C, 155th Machine Gun Battalion. He was 49 years, 4 months and 2 days in age at his death. He was born in Salisbury on September 7, 1895, son of the late Luther B. and Elizabeth (Keim) Anderson. He is survived by his mother, now residing in Johnstown; by one sister, Florence, wife of Ice Connor, Newcomerstown, Ohio; and by four brothers, Harry and Homer, Johnstown; David, Chicago, and W. Fearson, Pittsburgh. A brother, Peter, was killed in World War I, and his father died in 1938. Funeral services were conducted in the Thomas Funeral Parlor by Rev. Ira S. Monn. Military honors were rendered by members of Earl H. Opel Post, American Legion, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12th. Interment in the family plot in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Mortician Stanley M.
