Born March 23, 1913, in Confluence. Preceeded in death by wife , Virginia R u t h (Firestone) Anderson; parents, Enos Scott and Susan Hannah (Nickelson) Anderson; brothers, Adam, Albert, John, Joseph and Charles; also son-in- law, Thomas Suhr. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survived by daughters, Barbara Durst, married to Donald Durst, Windber, and Karen Suhr, Pensacola, Fla.; grandchildren, James D. Durst and wife Leslie, Carmel, Ind., Jeri Linn (Durst) Gallucci and husband, Frank, Camp Hill, J.W. Durst and wife, Rita, Madisonville, Ky., Jason M. Durst and wife, Diane, Burkburnett, Texas and Heather K Suhr, Pensacola, Fla.; great-grand-children, J.D. and Gretchen Durst, Aubree, Nicole and Frank Gallucci, Courtney and Nathan Durst and Jordan Durst; and great-great-grand-daughter, Madison Durst. Worked for A&P and ACME Markets where he retired April 1, 1975. Member of the VFW Confluence, American Legion, fire company and the Lions Club of Windber. World War II Navy veteran, serving in the South Pacific. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. June 20, at the First Lutheran Church of Windber. The Rev Elenore Abarno officiating.
