He was born June 15, 1948, in Melcroft, a son of Ethel Pearl Smith Anderson and the late James E. Anderson. A 1966 graduate of Rockwood High School. Worked as a millwright for US Steel at the Clairton works. Member of Clairton Local 1557, USWA. Did charity work for the United Way and the Central Blood Bank in Pittsburgh. Member and past president of the Roaring Run Sportsmen's club. Social member of the Mount Pleasant VFW and the Scottdale American Legion bowling team. Survived by mother; 2 sons, Michael Wayne Anderson of Greensburg and Steven Paul Anderson of Melcroft; 4 brothers--William C. and Robert G. Anderson, both of Greensburg; Edward B. Anderson of Melcroft and David K. Anderson of Acme; 5 sisters--Mrs. Charles (Betty) Burnsworth of New Brighton; Mrs. Juluis (Wanda) Smith of Youngstown, Ohio; Mrs. Edward (Nellie) Ruff of Acme; Mrs. Robert (Linda) McMillen of Champion, and Mrs. Ronald (Judy) Charlton of Mount Lebanon. Friends will be received from 10 am to 9 pm Tuesday at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711 Melcroft, where funeral services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, with Rev.
