Born Oct. 19, 1913 in Hooversville. Daughter of John Earl and Sara Catherine (Snyder) Custer. Preceded in death by parents, husband Emil Lawrence "Swede" Anderson who died Sept, 11, 1968 and brothers Snyder and Kimmel Custer. Survived by children: Ms. Kirsten E. "Kea" Rapp of Aurora, Colo., and Mrs. John W. "Jack" (Ingrid) Crites of Somerset. Also three grandchildren: Morgan A. Rapp married to the former Richelle Hall of Parker, Colo., Mrs. Erik (Mollie) Johnson of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Mrs. Jay (Mary Catherine "Missy") Tisdall of Aurora, Colo., and two great grandchildren Garrett L. Tisdall and Jesse B. Rapp. Sister of Mrs. Ronald (Iris) Coleman of Hooversville; two nephews, John Custer and wife Cindy of Seattle, Wash., R. Kevin Coleman and wife Diane of Ligonier, and niece Mrs. Ric (Hope) Donati of Walkersville, Md., and four great-nephews: Tyler and Bradley Coleman and Jason and Justin Donati. Member of St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church. Graduate of Hooversville High School and Ithaca College. Former English and music teacher. Member of Sigma Alpha Iota Sorority, Somerset Welfare League, Somerset Music Club. Somerset Auxiliary Johnstown Symphony Auxiliary Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, Somerset County Artists Assoiciation, Somerset Garden Club, Laurel Arts and Hooversville Area Historical Society. No viewing or visitation. Service will be conducted at 2pm Saturday at St. Francis In the Fields Episcopal Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Father J. Mark Zimmerman officiating.
