  ANDERSON
  
  Opal R. Anderson, 88, of Fincastle, Va., formerly of Confluence, died Jan.
  2, 2003 in Fincastle.  She was born Feb. 13, 1914 in Addison.  She was the
  last of 10 children of the late Norman and Mary (Augustine) Smith.  In
  addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband
  Joseph A. Anderson.  She is survived by daughters, Nancy Jo Mitchem of
  Fincastle, Marcia Frazee of Sarasota, Fla.  and a son Jay Anderson of
  Confluence.  Also eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Friends
  will be received from 2-9 pm Saturday and 10 am -1pm, the hour of the
  service, Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence.  Rev. Ronald
  Schaeffer officiating.  Interment in Addison Cemetery.
