He was born near Drakestown, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township, on June 20, 1872, a son of the late George W. and Sabina Hall Anderson, and was aged 59 years, 3 months and 22 days. He was married on February 2, 1896 to Susan H. Nicholson, who and the following six sons survive him: Adam Anderson, Confluence; Albert Anderson, Canton, Ohio; John Anderson, Confluence; Joseph Anderson, Toledo, Ohio; and Charles and Ralph Anderson, at home. Surviving are also six grandchildren and one brother, Rev. Wallace W. Anderson of Saint Louis, Mo. Three brothers and one sister preceded him to the grave. Scott Anderson was a carpenter by trade, working at that occupation up until 1922, when he became affiliated with the Associated Gas and Electric Company as their right-of-way agent, employed throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York and Ohio, purchasing right-of-way. Illness forced him to retire about a year ago. He was a member of the Church of God practically all of his life. Funeral services were held at the family home at 2:30 p.m. last Sunday, Rev. V. C. Wilson of Lonaconing, Md., officiating. Interment in Addison Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, October 15, 1931
