Two other Italians were mixed up in the affair, but they made their escape. The officer was on his beat when he came upon three Italians who were quarreling. He arrested the trio and called upon Logan to assist him in taking the men to the police station. The officer had two of the men in custody. Suddenly one drew a gun and fired at Logan. The latter was struck in the right arm. Then ensued the battle between Angelo and Alexander. The Italian fired five shots in all one of which struck Alexander in the head, inflicting a flesh wound, before a bullet he was absolved from all blame. Meyersdale Commercial, Apr. 15, 1915
