Ankeny, 55, died on February 26, in the Marine Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio, where he had been a patient for two weeks. He was a veteran of World War I and had been in poor health for several years. He was the son of the late Calvin and Ella (Majors) Ankeny of Harnedsville, and had made his home in this vicinity for many years. His survivors are one brother, Earl and one sister, Mrs. Walter Philippi, of Warren, O., and a half-brother and sister, Harry Ankeny and Mrs. D. H. Brown of Confluence. Funeral services were conducted at the Humbert Funeral Home, Wednesday afternoon, at 2:30 with Rev. F. A. Webb, officiating. Interment was made in the family plot in the Addison Cemetery.
