Born Aug. 31, 1901, in Jenner Township. Daughter of Clarence R. and Fannie K. (Barnett) Ankeny. Preceded in death by parents; brother, John; sisters: Mary Amanda Walker, Katharyn M. Ankeny, and Sara "Sally" Miller, and special nephew, R. Richard "Dick" Ankeny. Survived by sisters, Ruth A. Brown of Columbus, Ohio, and Alyce wife of Floyd S. Bloom, Greensburg, and brother-in-law Jay H. Walker, Mansfield, Ohio. Also 12 nieces and nephews, 26 great-nieces and nephews, 26 great-nieces and nephews and 32 great-great-nieces and nephews. Member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell, and Somerset County Retired Teachers Association. Was a public school teacher for 50 years in the former Jenner-Boswell area school district. Hand-painted dishes for many years and enjoyed playing brige with her Bridge Club. Also enjoyed traveling. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 9am until time of service at 10 am Thursday at St. Andrew's Church, Rev.
