  Thelma L. Ankeny, 80, Somerset, died April 7, 2006, in Richmond, Va. Born Jan.
  25, 1926, in Rockwood, the daughter of the late George and Florence (Baker)
  Hayman. Also preceded in death by a brother, George Hayman. Survived by her
  husband, George S. Ankeny, to whom she was married 60 years; children, Mrs.
  Tony (Elaine) Latuch of Somerset, Mrs. Ron (Beverly) Mort of Somerset, and
  Harry Ankeny and wife Joyce of Johnstown; grandchildren, Jeff Latuch, Shelly
  Zarefoss, Michael and Mark Mort, Melissa Sapon, Tim Ankeny and Jason Ankeny;
  also eight great-grandchildren. Sister of Robert Hayman of Rockwood, Neva
  Burkett of Somerset, Mary Alice Weir of Somerset and Gloria Burkhart of
  Johnstown. Member of Somerset Alliance Church. Volunteered with the Red Cross
  for blood drives. Friends received 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
  Wednesday. The Rev. James Vandervort officiating. Interment in Somerset County
  Memorial Park.
