He was born Feb. 5, 1919, in Rector, son of late Charles August Ankney and Annabell (Showers) Anknye-Morro. He is survived by widow, former Betty Ruth Flick, and children, Mrs. Robert (Tammy) Peterman, Stoystown, and Ronald, Niles, Ohio; also two grandsons. He was the brother of Kenneth, Tucon, Ariz., and Louis, Berlin. Half brother of William, Paul and Deloris, all of Ligonier, Donald, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Wayne, Oak Grove; and Aileen Shanefelt, Latrobe. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Edie, and Tri-State Teamsters Motor Carries Union; retireee of Cooper-Jarrett Trucking Co.; Veteran of World War II. Friends were received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, Somerset. Services were held at St. John's UM Church, the Rev. Donald Rudat. Interment, Sipesville Cemetery.
