  EMERY JOHN ANKNEY
  
  Emery John Ankney, 88, Berlin, formerly of Jefferson Township, died April 10, 
  2004, at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin.  Born Nov. 6, 1915, in Jefferson 
  Township, a son of William Henry and Elizabeth Margaret "Lizzie" (Kimmel) 
  Ankney.  Preceded in death by parents; stepmother, Mary (Miller) Kimmel-Ankney; 
  four brothers, Eugene, James, Cloyd and Edward Ankney; sisters, Mary Ankney, 
  Grace Crossen, Irene Rhodes, Lucy Walker and Elda Shaulis.  Survived by sisters, 
  Mrs. Marian Kocher of Big Stone Gap, Va., and Mrs. Earl W. (Velma) Barclay of 
  Somerset.  Member of Bethany United Methodist Church.  Friends received from 9 to 
  11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be held 
  11 a.m., with the Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating.  Interment, Bethany Cemetery.
