Ankney, 82, Phoenixville, Pa., formerly of Somerset, died Jan. 13, 2008. Born Aug. 10, 1925, in Garrett, he is predeceased by parents, Paul and Mary (Marker) Ankney; and by his beloved wife, Margaret J. (Campbell). Survived by sons, Gary Ankney, Harrisonville; and Bradly Ankney, Phoenixville; and daughter, Kathy (Ankney) Coveleskie, Collegeville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Ankney is a veteran of World War II, serving as an Army Technician 4th Grade (T4) in Company D, 346th Infantry Regiment, 87th Infantry Division from Dec. 20, 1943, to Feb. 16, 1946. He retired from the Boeing Co., where he worked as an aircraft mechanic. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Trinity United Church of Christ Church in Collegeville.
