Born April 18, 1929, in Amity. Daughter of the late Harvey Hamilton and Mary Eva Ewart Mapel. Member of the St. John's United Methodist Church, Somerset. Past president of the United Methodist Church, Somerset. Past president of the United Methodist Women. She attended Armbrust Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday School and was a director of the Bible School. Past president of Church Women United of Greensburg. Past president of 7th Society of Farm Women and member of the Young Farmers Wives of Derry. Preceded in death by her first husband. Clarence C. "Bud" Blair in 1974 and a son, Peter Blair. Survived by her husband, Robert H. Ankney Jr.; four sons; H. Gregory Blair and William Blair, both of Boswell; Mark R. Blair of Somerset, and Ted Blair of Long Island, NY; two daughters: Mrs. Richard (Carol) Clark of Chicago, Ill, and Mrs. Glenn (Amy) Price of Rockwood. Four stepdaughters: Mrs. David (Susan) Fierst of Greensburg, Mrs. G. Edwin (Vickie) Queer of Latrobe, Kathy Jean Ankney of Greensburg and Judy C. Ankney of Yuma, Az. One sister, Mrs. Addison (Jean) Walton of Greensburg. Also nine grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren. Friends will be received at the James P. Guat Funeral Home Inc., Pleasant Unity, from 3-5 and 7-9 Tuesday. Additional viewing will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday in the Bethany United Methodist Church, with Pastor Paul Scruton. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery.
