  George APTER
  
  George Robert Apter, 70, of 111 West Ord St., Salisbury, formerly of
  Sydney, Australia, died Aug. 21, 1996, at his residence.  Born Feb. 22,
  1926, at Botany, Sydney, Australia, he was the son of the late George
  Arthur and Eva (Hodder) Apter.  Survivors include his wife, Ruth E. (Fodder)
  Apter; one son, Paul R. Apter of Sydney, Australia; one step-son, Rick
  Jacobs of Garden Grove, Ca.; two daughters, Cherly A. Apter and Kim M.
  Apter, both of Sydney; one brother, Jack Apter, Sydney; two sisters,
  Valorie Koorey and Rhonda DeCosta, also of Sydney; also five grandchildren.
  Member of Salisbury Church of the Brethren Veteran of World War II with the
  Australian Army.  Also a member of the Returned Seviceman's League.  Friends
  will be received 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday at Newman Funeral Home, Salisbury.
  Services will be conducted at 10:30 am Saturday at Salisbury Church of the
  Brethren, with Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating.  Interment, Sydney,
  Australia.
