  Clifford B. Arden, 84, of Somerset, died May 22, 1997, at Patriot Manor.
  Born Aug. 5, 1912, in Somerset Township, son of the late Horace and Matilda
  (Lichty) Arden.  Preceded in death by sister, Daisy, and brothers: John and
  Arthur.  Survived by wife of 62 years, the former Grace Shumaker, and
  daughter, Judy Emerick of Somerset.  Brother of Grace Kimmel of Somerset,
  Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Stutzman of Friedens, and Millard (Betty) Rayman of
  Friedens.  Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset.  Member of
  NRA.  Retired long-time employee of Somerset Limestone Company.  Friends will
  be received from 7-9 pm Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sataurday at the Wilbur
  D. Miller Funeral Home, Somerset.  Service will be conducted at 2pm Sunday
  by Rev. Glenn E. Sadler at St. Paul's where friends will be received one
  hour prior to service.  Interment, Pine Hill Cemetery.
