Arnold, 80, of Washburn Road, Willard, passed away Jan. 25, 2004, at the Willard Mercy Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born Jan. 24, 1924, in Somerset County and has lived in Willard since 1959. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert H. and Minerva (Brant) Arnold; brother, Charles Arnold; two sisters, Nellie Rinick and Mary Shaulis. Survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Barry Arnold of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, David and Terry Arnold of Willard and John and Amy Arnold of Norwalk; two daughters and son-in-law, Shirley Penter of Somerset and Martha and John Clark of Willard; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Arnold of Somerset; three sisters, Margaret Brown of San Diego, Calif., Catherine Claycomb of Medina and Thelma Martell of Holiday, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic and farmer. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Willard. He enjoyed gardening, working with tractors and loved to spend time with his family. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Grace United Methodist Church in Willard. The Rev. James Ellis officiating. There will be a funeral service 1 p.m. Friday at Beams Church in Boswell with burial at Beams Cemetery.
