Artice, 62, died Sunday, March 15, 1987, in Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland, Md. Born in Garrett County Sept 25, 1924, he was the son of the late Harvey Franklin and Hazel Irene (Firmstone) Artice. He was a payloader operator for the Garrett County Roads and a member of Grace Brethren Church. Surviving are his widow, Edna E. (Jenkins) Artice; two sons, Lonnie Artice and Larry Artice, both of Accident, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Tomlin, Accident, Md.; and Mrs. Millicent Harsh, Bruceton Mills, WVa.; one brother, Ronald Artice, Fort Scott, Kan.; five sisters, Mrs. Faye Humbertson and Mrs. Betty Huphod, both of Confluence; Mrs. Julia Mae Wilbon, Lutherville; Mrs. Catherine Savage, Markleysburg; and Mrs. Naomi Griffith, Friendsville, Md.; and nine grandchildren. Friends were received in the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, Md. where services were conducted Wednesday at 2pm by the Rev. Robert Clinton, the Rev. Harold Harmon and the Rev. Homer Mellott.
