(Dick) Arvin, 69, Salisbury RD 1, died Jan. 6, 1987, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born March 16, 1917, in Brunswick, Md., son of Mrs. Viola (Phillips) Arvin, Brunswick, Md. and the late Charles Arvin. Also preceded in death by one brother, Pete. Besides his mother, also survived by his wife, the former Lois K. Lee; one son, Barry Lee Arvin, East Lyme, Conn.; six sisters, Mrs. Helen Daley, Charles Town, WVa.; Mrs Marguerite Painter, Brunswick; Mrs. Gloria Lee Hinckle, Leesburg, Va.; Mrs. Betty Lou Miller, Frederick, Md., Mrs. Fran Hamilton, Leesburg, and Mrs. Truda Weber, Brunswick. Member of Christ Lutheran Church, Grantsville, Md. A veteran of WWII and a member of the Salisbury VFW. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 am with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
