  Charles W. ASH
  
  Charles W. Ash, 77, Somerset RD 6, died march 24, 1987, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born April 21, 1909, in Jefferson Township, son of the
  late Solomon and Ella (Schrock) Ash.  Preceded in death by sister, Mrs.
  Dosey G. Shaffer, and brother, Harry.  Survived by his wife, Evelyn
  (Burkett) Ash; and these children: Janet, wife of Wilbert Walker, and
  Wilma, wife of William Stahl, both of Somerset RD 4; Betty, wife of Dwight
  St. Clair, Bowsell RD 2; James, Somerset RD 3; Donald, and Ruth, wife of
  Richard Peterson, both of Somerset RD 6; 24 grandchildren; 13
  great-grandchildren; and one brother, Merle, Somerset RD 6.  Member of Mt.
  Zion Lutheran Church, Bakersville.  Retired farmer, coal miner and was
  retired from Jefferson Township Road Dept.Charter and life member of
  Bakersville Fire Dept., a former Jefferson Township constable.  
  
  Friends will be received after 7pm today (Wednesday) and 2-4 and 7-9 pm
  Thursday at Robert H.  Halverson Funeral Home where service will be
  conducted Friday, 1:30 pm, the Rev. Richard Schalk.  Interment, Bakersville
