  David Ash Jr., 73, East Pitt Street, Jennerstown, died Nov. 4, 2002 at his
  home.  Born Sept. 4, 1929 in Somerset a son of David W. and Minnie (Snyder)
  Ash.  Preceded in death by his parents; wife, the former Betty L. Nicklow,
  on March 10, 1996; daughter, Trudy Lee Walker; an infant grandson; brother,
  Glenn, and a sister, Binnie Latshaw.  Survived by children, Davideen,
  married  to Gerald Oester, Somerset RD; Betty married to Todd Walker,
  Boswell RD; Valerie married to Steven Robatin, Okinawa, Japan; David L.
  married to the former Linda Baughman, Warsaw, Ind.; Lisa Penrod, Johnstown;
  Amy Critchfield, Somerset RD, and Kevin, Armagh; nine grandchildren; three
  great-grandchildren, sister Ruth Coleman and brother Roy, both of Somerset;
  and numerous nieces and nephews.  Member of Christ Casebeer Evangelical
  Lutheran Church, Somerset Rd.  Retired mechanic from Anderson Equipment
  Company, Somerset.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Friends received
  from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street,
  Boswell.  Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday at Christ Casebeer
  Church with the Rev. Dennis L. Doebler officiating.  No viewing at the
  church.  Interment Somerset County Memorial contributions may be sent to In
