She was born March 18, 1910 to Elmer Elias and Jennie (Fisher) Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Ash in 1988; son in law John R. Coffey and the following six brothers and one sister: Elbert, Mrs. Marion (Roy) Walker, Harrison, Clarence, Ralph, Elmer and Cleo. She is survived by one daughter, Gladys Coffey of Louisville, Ky., five grandchilden, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by three brothers and a sister, Mrs. Leora (Conrad) Kelly, Eugene Kenneth and Paul Hoffman, all of Somerset and Perry Hoffman of Rockwood and half sisters and brother Mrs. Ruby (Don) Miller, Mrs. Hazel (Don) Weighley, both of Somerset and Roger Hoffman of Palmyra, Pa. and step-mother, Mrs. June (Earl) Domer of Somerset. She was a member of the Walnut Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky. The funeral was in charge of Scott Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, Ind. Daily American Nov 2, 2002
