(Yoder) Ash, 81, of the Lutheran Home at Johnstown, formerly of Friedens RD (Jenner Township), died Feb. 16, 2003, at the home. Born Jan. 17, 1922, in Jenner Township, daughter of Joseph and Gertrude (Sowerbrower) Yoder. Preceded in death by parents, husband Henry L. in 1967, daughter Bonnie L. Ash, sisters Bessie Yoder and Verda Begley, and brothers Richard, Joseph and Robert. Survived by children: Barry L., married to Joanne L. (Planinsek), Johnstown; Suzanne L., married to Edwin G. DiFrancesco, Boswell RD; Timothy L., married to Cindy L. (Pence), Somerset; and Lori L, married to Douglas H. Huston, Rockwood RD. Also 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister Edna Yoder of Pittsburgh; brother Donald, married to Reita (Hemminger), Boswell RD; serveral sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law and numerous special nieces and nephews. Very actice member of the First Christian Church, Somerset, having served as Deaconess and Sunday School teacher for many years. Past member of the Auxiliary of the Acosta Volunteer Fire Department, serving as secretary for many years. Long time past member of the Jenner Township Board of Elections and former volunteer for the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 am Thursday, with the Rev. Daniel F. Nicksic officiating. Interment, Beam Cemetery near Gray. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Assiciation, 101 Old Salem Road, Greensburg, Pa., 15601 or the First Christian Church, 139 E.
