  Ronald C. Ashbrook, 51, of 1101 Barbara St. Belmont Heights, Johnstown,
  died March 27, 1987, at Johnstown, died March 27, 1987, at Johnstown
  Memorial Hospital.  Born May 24, 1935, in Hooversville, the son of Franklin
  C. and Martha (Smith) Ashbrook.  Preceded in death by parents.  Survived by
  stepmother, the former Mildred Alwine, Hooversville; wife, the former Judy
  Kari; son Rodney C., married to the former Debbie Dedik of Hooversville;
  daughter Rhonda, wife of Richard L. Crawley, Johnstown; and two
  grandchildren; Melissa and Andrew Ashbrook.  Also survived by sisters Audrey
  Kaufman of Elderton, Janice Scaire of Central City and Ruth Knipple of
  Meriden, Ct.  Was a retired baker with Somerset State Hospital.  Friends
  received 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday at the Hugh W. Marron Funeral Home, Windber,
  where services will be held at 11 am Monday, the Rev. Ronald Fleming
  officiating.  Interment, Richland Cemetery.
