"Gen" Aston, 68, of Ruffsdale, died April 25, 2003 in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greesburg. Born July 28, 1934 in Ohiopyle a daughter of the late Morgan and Elizabeth Shipley Peck. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Aston; two sisters, Theresa Miller and Edna Peck and four brothers, Orville, Glenn, Thomas and Maxwell Peck. Survived by a daughter, Donna V. Kern and husband Terry L. of Somerset; a step-daughter, Beverly J. Furin of Tarrs; two grandchildren, Tara Kern and Brent Kern and his wife Melodie; a step grand-daughter, Bobbi Jo Furin; a brother Ralph Peck of Confluence and several nieces and nephews. Genevieve had been employed as a Toll Collector for the Pa. Turnpike Commission most recently workinng at the California, Pa. Exchange. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, Tarrs. Family and friends will be received from 1-9pm Sunday and from 2-9 pm Monday at the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 406 E Washington St Mt Pleasant, where a service will be held on Tuesday at 11 am with Rev.
