  LEON ATHERTON
  
  Leon Atherton, 84 [sic], of Grandview Avenue, Somerset, died June 9, 1997, in
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Oct. 6, 1913 in Ohio.  Son of the late Reuben and
  Alice (Buehring) Atherton.  Survived by wife, Susan (Reffner) Atherton, and
  these children: Lucy, Indiana; Margaret, Alice, Leota, and Marvin, all of
  Ohio.  Stepchildren: Bettery, Floriday; Phyllis, Hollsopple; Richard,
  Virginia; Donald, Boswell; Alton Jr., Breezwood; Roy, New Jersey, and Lynn,
  Somerset.  Brother of Robert and Earl, both of Ohio, and Richard,
  California.  Also a number of grandchilren and great-grandchildren.  Member
  of the Harbor Lighthouse Church of Berlin.  Friends will be received from
  7-9 pm Tuesday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.  Other arrangements are
  incomplete.
  
  ATHERTON
  Funeral serive for Leon Altheron, 83, of Grandview Avenue, Somerset will be
  conducted at 10 am Thrusday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Rev. Ralph
  Tinkey Jr. officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  Friends
  will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm today (Wednesday) in the funeral home.
