She was born Sept 14, 1909 in Castle Shannon, a daughter of the late Edward S. Hawkins and Nellie Jeanette Tippey Hawkins. Also preceding her in death was her first husband Harold L. Conaway. Surviving are her husband Marshall T. Augustine of Addison, a daughter Carolyn C. Hudgins and her husband Horace of Trenton, Mich., a son H. Edward Conaway and his wife Karen of Traverse City, Mich., a stepdaugter, Frances Swearman and her husband George of Addison, a stepson Tarrant Augustine and his wife Katheleen of Hummelstown, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two sisters, Pauline Hebert and her husband Henry of Pensacola, Fla. and Doris Togsold of Chandler, Ariz. Mrs. Augustine spent her life in loving service and devotion to her family and the churches she worshiped in. She was an Executive Secretary with the BASF Corporation for over 28 years prior to her retirement, a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Addison, an associater member of the Addison United Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church of Wayandotte, Mich. Friends will be received from 6-7 pm Tuesday in St. John's Lutheran Church of Addison, where service will be held at 7 pm with Rev. William Tribe officiating. Interment will be at 2pm Thursday in Michigan Memorial Park, Flatrock, Mich. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jerome W. Shell Funeral Home 164 S Mt. Vernon Ave. Uniontown. In lieu of flowers the family requets memorial contributions be made to "In Touch" Hospice Care of Somerset c/o Home and Health Care, 1590 N.
