Augustine, 68, Markleton, died Nov. 10, 2004, at his home. He was born Nov. 3, 1936, in Springfield Township, Fayette County, a son of the late Albert Paul Augustine and Amanda E. (Rugg) Augustine Shroyer. He is preceded in death by parents, sister, Mary Baker and a step grandson, Chuck Burnsworth. He is survived by his wife, Maxine (Yingling) Augustine, a son, James Jr., Rockwood; and daughters, Debbie Howard, Hollidaysburg, and Sandi Sechler, Confluence; seven grandchildren, one step grandchild, seven great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren; brother, Harold "Bud" Augustine, Confluence; sisters, Betty Marsh, Johnstown, and Barbara Hunter, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; also half brother Paul Augustine, Virginia; and half sisters, Tammy Foor, Maryland, and Maria Gindlesperger, Berlin. Mr. Augustine was a former coal miner and truck driver and was currently an Upper Turkeyfoot Township supervisor. He attended the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. John Hollis officiating.
