  JAMES AUSTIN
  
  James H. Austin, 80, Boswell RD 2, formerly of Meyersdale, died Nov. 3,
  1986, at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Oct. 15, 1906, in Meyersdale,
  son of the late Charles and Olga (Michaels) Austin.  Survived by wife, the
  former Gladys I. Fike.  Preceded in death by a daughter, Carol J.
  Hoffmeyer; three sisters, Esther Hines, Nell Tressler, and Hazel Austin;
  and three brothers, Oscar, Ernest, and Henry.  Survived by five
  grandchildren and five great-granchildren.  A brother of Robert, Meyersdale
  RD 3; William of Somerset; Mrs. Elsie Johnson, Gary, Ind., Mrs. Mary Barmoy,
  and Mrs. Helen Heffley, both of Meyersdale.  He was a member of the
  Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Somerset.  He retired from the
  Kelly-Springfield Tire Co, Cumberland, Md., after 28 years of service. 
  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday at Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, where servcies will be conducted at 10:30 am Wednesday, the Rev.
  Carl R. Ellenberger.  Interment, Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers,
  contributions may be made to the Windber Hospice.
