Ayers, 59, of Someset died July 8, 1972, in Bedford County. He was born on May 19, 1913, in Listie a son of the late Guy and Bessie (Fishburn) Ayers. Preceded in death by one brother. Survived by his widow, the former Josephine Hudak, and one son, John G. Ayers of Somerset. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Charles (Blodwyn) McKee of Crum Lynn, Pa.; Mrs. Dan (Margaret) Weigle of Friedens; Mrs. Carl (Alfreda) Marks of Villas, NJ; Mrs Rolla (Pearl) Davis of Aurora, Colo.; Mrs. John (Rhea) Wyand of Berlin; Mrs. John (Juniata) Crews of Washington, DC; Guy Jr. of Ogden; Donald of New Wilmington, Pa.; George of Fern Park, Fla; and Mrs. Francis (Eleanor) Tuller of Grafton, Ohio. He was employed by Stabler Construction Company. Member of Somerset Volunteer Fire Department and veteran of WWII. Friends will be received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home on Monday (today) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Rummel officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
