  BAER
  
  Alfred S. Baer, 70, Meyersdale RD 3, died July 3, 1990, in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  He was born May 27, 1920, in Meyersdale.  Son of the late
  Samuel S. and Matilda (Knepp) Baer.  He is survived by his wife, the former
  Irene P. Burkholder; two daughters - Jane, wife of George Patterson,
  Frostburg, Md., and Kathy, wife of David Forman, Meyersdale RD 4; and three
  grandchildren.  Also survived by a sister, Margaret Ackerman, Meyersdale RD 3.
  He was a U.S.  Army veteran, having served in World War II.  He retired from the
  U.S. Postal Service in 1983.  He was a member of Greenville Lutheran Church,
  VFW Post 3504, and Friendship Grange.  Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m.
  Thursday at the William Rowe Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services
  will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. David Fetter officiating.  Interment,
  Greenville Union Cemetery.
