  BYRON BAER
  
    Byron (Roney) Baer, 75, of Rockwood RD 1, died Sept. 5, 1982, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  He was born Aug. 30, 1907, in Meyersdale, a son of
  William P. and Mary Catherine (Cuzzins) Baer.
    He is survived by wife, Annabelle Meyers Baer, of Rockwood RD 1; three
  sons: Glenn of Milton; Robert, of Friedens RD 1 and Max, of Berlin RD 1;
  three stepsons: Alvin and David Meyers, both of Oklahoma; Henry Lee Meyers of
  West Virginia; daughters: Mrs. Rita Heinbaugh of York, Mrs. Lois Welsh of
  Janesville, Wisc.; Mrs. Katie Sanner of West Newton; Mrs. Darrell (Anita)
  Klink, Garrett; three brothers: Harold, of Derion, Ga.; James, of Meyersdale,
  and Billie of Cumberland; three sisters: Mrs. Martha Fike and Mrs. Mary
  Bolden, both of LaVale, Md.; and Mrs. Ruth Cogan of Oklahoma City, Okla.  Also
  survived by 11 grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren
  and five step-great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Shumaker Baer, Aug.
  26 [sic], 1979, also by two infant sons, and by brother, Ray.  He was a retired
  farmer for 33 years and also retired miner; served as deacon at the Rockwood
  Church of the Brethren.
    Friends were received at the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood.
  Services were held at the Rockwood Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Scott
  Cooper and the Rev. Edward Cauffiel officiating.  Interment to following in the
  Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
