  Earl R. Baer, 69, of Somerset, died Feb. 20, 1988, in Pittsburgh.  Born Dec
  13, 1918, in Jenner Township, a son of the late Jacob and Emily Rose
  (Hemminger) Baer.  Survived by wife, the former Winifred L. (Brant); these
  children: Robert L. of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Robert W. (Cindy) Hayman of
  Somerset; three grandchildren: Amy, Michael and Andrew Baer; sister [sic] of Mrs.
  Elma Johns of Johnstown.  Former owner and operator of Motel 219.  Member of
  Somerset Church of the Brethren, VFW Post 554, American Legion Post 181, and
  the Elks Lodge of Meyersdale.  Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Monday (today) at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where services will be held
  11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating.  Interment, Somerset
  County Memorial Park.  Family suggests contributions to W. PA. Chapter of
  American Heart Assoc., 224 Broad St., Johnstown, Pa. 15906.
