Baer, 78, of 804 Morris Ave., Boswell, died Nov. 29, 1989, at home. Born March 12, 1911, in Boswell, daughter of Lewis and Edith (Geiger) Baer. Preceded in death by parents, two infant brothers, sisters, Ruth Perian and Mary McCann, and brother, Robert L. Sister of Edna, wife of Homer Winters, at home. Also nieces and nephews: Alverta Law, Carl Perian, Linda Walters, Mary Louise Teitbohl, Edith Taylor, Donald and Edward Winters and Sally Barndt. Also survived by sister-in-law, Ida Baer. Lifelong member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell; Friendly Bible Class, L.C.W. and Knotty Ladies. Sunday School teacher for mom than 20 years. Graduate of former Boswell High School, Class of 1929. Member and past president of Boswell Firemen's Auxiliary, Boswell Post 461, American Legion Auxiliary; Somerset County Firemen's Auxiliary, Somerset County Firemen's Relief Fund, Somerset County Eight and Forty and Junior Forum Credit Union. Also member of I.L.G.W.U. Retiree Club and Laurel Mountain Senior Citizens. Judge of Boswell Board of Elections for many years. Past employee of former Sam Rogers Variety Store and Dorfman and Hoffman Garment Factory, both of Roswell. Friends will received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, and until noon Saturday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny St., Boswell. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Church, with visitation to be held from 1 p.m. until time of service, Pastors Pat and Chris Ramsey officiating. Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. No viewing at church. Various memorial services will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Daily American, November 30, 1989 [B0039]
