Born March 15, 1920, in Somerset. He was the son of Ezra Reuben and Lucy Pearl (Lohr) Baer. Preceded in death by parents and sisters: Ella Jean Heritz, Anna Mary Lowry and Irene Keiffer. Survived by wife, the former Betty June Walker, to whom he was married 55 years: children: Mrs. William J. (Dianne) Weigle of Johnstown; Lynn W. Baer, married to the former Pamela Roos, of Lake City, Pa.; Mrs. Leonard (Susan) Mariani of Upper Montclair, N.J.; 6 grandchildren: Amanda Weigle, Melanie Flynn, Michael Baer, Clair, Nicole and Anna Mariani; and a great-grandson Sean Flynn. Brother of Mrs. Dale (Betty) Oglevee of Somerset. Member of Grace United Methodist Church in Somerset. A 1938 graduate of Somerset High School. Retired in 1980 as District Manager for Penelec in Meadville. Veteran of World War II U.S. Army Air Corps. Member of American Legion Post 181. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday, in Grace United Methodist Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Charles F. Olson officiating. Viewing at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Internment, Husband Cemetery.
