  Ferne Arlene Baer, 66, of Geiger Road, Friedens, died Sept. 23, 1998 at
  Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born Jan. 23, 1932 in
  Meyersdale, daughter of Christopher Columbus and Viola Mae (Butler) Hutzell.
  Preceded in death by parents; brother Roy B. "Shorty" Hutzell.  Survived by
  husband, Robert Dean Baer to whom she was married 18 years.  Children: James
  Fullerton of Rogers, Ak.; Mrs. Roger (Arlene) Klink of Oktaha, Ok.; Bruce
  Fullerton of Neosho, MO.; Mrs. Charles (Beverly) Merriman of Rocky Comfort,
  MO.; Mrs. Thomas (Linda) Yon of Wichita, KS.; Robert D. Baer Jr. of Wichita,
  KA. [sic]; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Sister of: Mrs. Marvin L.
  (Naomi) Donaldson of Garrett, Paul E. Hutzell of Johnstown.  Secretary for
  Head Start Tableland Services for 25 years retiring in 1994.  Attended Geiger
  Church of the Brethren.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where Services will be conducted 11 a.m.
  Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998 Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home Somerset, with the Rev.
  Gerald E. Deffenbuagh officiating.  Interment, Somerset county Memorial Park.
