  BAER
  
  Leo L. Baer, 72, of Meyersdale, died Oct. 23, 1986, at his home.  Born May 7,
  1914, in Meyersdale, son of the late Guy L. and Rose (Garlitz) Baer.  Also
  preceded in death by first wife, the former Irene Thomas; and a son, Robert
  E.  Survived by his second wife, the former Mabel Weise; a daughter, Mrs.
  Janet Pritts, Frederick. Md.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren;
  two stepdaughters, Mrs. Carol Friedline and Mrs. Sherry Hoover, both of
  Meyersdale; seven step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.  A
  brother of Charles Brooks and Mrs. Stella Benson, both of Ridgley W.Va. He
  retired from the Chessie System RR in 1973 with 39 years of service.  Friends
  will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale.  Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at
  the Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale, the Rev. James Bunn
  officiating.  Interment, church cemetery.
