All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ LIZZIE BAER Mrs. Lizzie Baer, wife of Simon Baer of Greenville Township, died at her home on Sunday, May 5th at 6:00 p.m. She was ill of pneumonia for a week before her death, and has been in poor health and often bedfast for the last five years. She was 77 years, 1 month and 15 days old at her death. She was born in Greenville Township on March 20, 1869, daughter of Christian and Magdalina (Warner) Paul. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters; Alverda, wife of Albert N. Conaway of Akron, Ohio, and Alwilda, wife of Gilbert H. Ludlow of Cleveland, Ohio; one son, Milton S. Baer, at home; one sister, Louise, wife of Edward Rickard of Meyersdale Route 3, and four brothers, Calvin Paul, Route 3, Meyersdale; Adam Paul, Route 2, Frostburg, Md.; Henry Paul and Harman Paul of Philadelphia. She was married to Mr. Baer in Salisbury on January 16, 1912 by Rev. E. S. Johnston. She was a life-long and faithful member of the Greenville Lutheran Church. Funeral services were conducted in the Greenville Lutheran Church at 1:30 on Wednesday, May 8th, with her pastor, Rev. George E. Bowersox, Jr., officiating. Interment in the church cemetery in charge of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas. Meyersdale Republican, May 9, 1946
