Campus Ave., Davidsville, died unexpectedly March 2 at home. Born May 23, 1901 in Johnstown, a son of John and Kate Rummel Baer. Preceded in death by parents, a sister, Mable and a brother, Homer. Survived by widow, the former Emma I. Ginter and two children, Carolyn, wife of the Rev. David G. Volk, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church Perth Amboy, N.J., and Alan married to the former Janice Christie of Tullahoma, Tenn., and seven grandchildren. Retired employee of the Sanitary Dairy Co. where he was a refrigeration engineer. Member of Porter Century Club of the Dairy. Member of St. David's Lutheran Church, Davidsville; Connumach Lion's Club, Davidsville; Sunnehenna Lodge No. 742 F. and A.M., Portage Royal Arch Chapter No. 195; Cambria Council No. 32; Knights Templar Commandery No. 61. Friends were received Sunday evening and will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell. Funeral services 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. David's Lutheran Church, Davidsville with the Rev. Luther A. Gotwald Jr. and the Rev. David G. Volk officiating. Interment Maple Springs Cemetery.
