His death was the result of injuries he suffered in a mine accident at Jerome, on Jan. 18th of this year. Until last week, hope was entertained for his recovery, but later complications set in which proved fatal. He was a graduate of the Meyersdale High School, class of 1926, and after his graduation taught two terms of school. He was held in high esteem by those who knew him, and was well liked as a teacher. The funeral was held at the home of his parents at Keystone Junction, at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 6th, conducted by Rev. H. K. Hilner, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church of Meyersdale. The burial arrangement was in charge of Funeral Director J. L. Tressler of Meyersdale, with interment in the Meyersdale Union Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, July 7, 1932
