Baer, 68, of Salisbury, died Feb. 3, 1996, at Meyersdale Manor Nursing Home, Meyersdale. Born April 6, 1927, in Greenville Township. He was a son of the late John and Mary Mae (Shunk) Baer. Preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Weaver. Survived by his wife, the former Gemma M. Pilotte; a daughter, Carolyn Mason, Manassas Park, Va.; 5 stepsons: Edward LeBlanc, Salisbury; Michael LeBlanc, Lakeville, Mass.; James LeBlanc, South Boston, Mass.; Richard LeBlanc, Brockton, Mass., and George LeBlanc, Revere, Mass. Also survived by a brother, Walter Baer, West Salisbury; a sister, Jane Morgan, Salisbury, and a grandson, Kevin Ray Mason. Member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury American Legion and Salisbury VFW. Retired laundry supervisor at Somerset State Hospital Navy veteran of World War II, Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
