  BAER

  Richard L. "Dick" Baer, 82, of Somerset, died Sept. 29, 2001 at his
  residence.  Born Nov. 22, 1918 in Listie, son of the late Clyde A. and
  Caroline (Shaulis) Baer.  Also preceded in death by wife, Martha (Meyers), son
  Clyde A. Baer Jr. and sister, Betty Lou Miller.  Survived by children: Carl
  Christner of Tacoma, Wash., Marvin L. "Buck" Baer Sr. of Somerset, Mary Anna
  Trout of North Versailles and Donald Baer of Meyersdale; 17 grandchildren and
  11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Whipkey of Somerset and Margaret Conn of
  Delaware; also a special friend, Verna Ohler of Meyersdale.  Member of the
  First Christian Church and Eagles Aerie 1801.  Friends received from 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services
  will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday.  Rev. Daniel F. Nicksich officiating.
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
