Baer, 46, of Meyersdale, R.D. 3, died last Sunday at his home. He was a son of George W. and Barbara Meese Baer of Greenville Township. He had been engaged in clay mining. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearle (Baer) Baer, a son, David Baer, at home, and three daughters, Mrs. John W. Arnold of Akron, O., Doris Marie and Janice Baer, at home, also by his father and the following brothers and sisters: Ray E. Baer, Akron, O.; John Baer, Salisbury; Mrs. Robert Hostetler, Mrs. Elmer Paul, Mrs. Melvin Yutzy, Mrs. Clyde Arnold, Mrs. Marshall Baer, Alvin Baer, Marshall F. and Ralph Baer, all of Greenville Township; also one grandson. His mother died 25 years ago. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Greenville Lutheran Church, with the Rev. S. D. Sigler officiating. Burial in the church cemetery under direction of W. C. Price and Son, morticians, Meyersdale. Meyersdale Republican, August 31, 1944
