Bailey, 60, Lost Valley Drive, Hollsopple RD, died peacefully March 1, 2001 at home, following a lengthy battle with COPD. Born May 12, 1940 in Somerset County, son of Earl and Margaret (Barndt) Bailey. Preceded in death by parents, sister Thelma, niece Judy, nephews Clyde, Eddie and Charles and father-in-law Richard Ungar. Survived by wife of 35 years, the former Kathy Unger, children, Maribeth and fiance Dan Kiser, Johnstown; Angel Kautz and fiance Scott Mader, Indian Lake; and Joby, at home; beloved granddaughter Miranda Bailey Kiser, former son-in-law Charles Kautz, Richland; mother-in-law Mary (Kaufman) Unger, Hollsopple RD and special dogs Spunky, Katie and Boo. Brother of James and wife Shirley, Somerset RD, Bill, Pottstown, Charles, Hooversville RD, and Edith and husband Race Reed and Melvin, both of Johnstown. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and other in-laws. Member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church, Hollsopple RD. Retired employee of Sleek Trucking. Loved his family and woodworking. Friends received from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Route 403 and Church Road, Davidsville, Pastors Wilma Horner and Jack Rupert officiating.
